JANINA TIMMINS
Nationality: 🇩🇪
Committee Member as: Welfare Officer
Footballing History: I grew up in a footballing family (entire family played for our local team SuS Volmarstein at some point) and in a football-focused area of Germany – the Ruhrgebiet. I watched and supported FC Schalke 04 and Vfl Bochum growing up and played for FC Silschede (also the first club of Alexandra Popp – a german striker legend) as an 18 year old. After a footballing time out, I have recently returned to playing again for the Abbots Bromley ladies team. With the welfare role that I am hugely passionate about and watching my children play, football plays a huge role in our family life.
Supports: FC Schalke 04
Favourite Player of All Time: Manuel Neuer! Because he changed the world of football, is a Schalke lad and the ultimate keeper sweeper – the undisputed GOAT!
Best UJFC memory: Watching both my boys playing for Juniors, working hard, developing their skills, scoring goals and having fun!
Interesting Fact/Story: I have worked in Tokyo for 3 months, before moving to the UK permanently from Deutschland.
Coaching philosophy: You are only as good as the number of stars you have on your chest. Teamwork makes the dream work!
