WHY VOLUNTEER WITH US?

UJFC is Uttoxeter’s most well-known, in-demand, and well-structured youth football club. As we have no shortage of children wanting to play for us, we want to match this with adults wanting to volunteer and help all of our community’s children along the way. With your support as a manager or coach volunteer, we can continue to provide the quality coaching and experiences UJFC are known for in the local area.

HOW WE HELP YOU:

SUPPORTING YOUR COACHING JOURNEY

  • Guidance from the start - Our fantastic secretaries, welfare officer, and coaching staff will point you in the right direction and get you all the necessary links and courses sent to you from day one. We will require a background check and safeguarding certification from everyone, and an additional coaching qualification from our managers, but we will always direct your straight to what you need. With us, you’ll never be asking “Well, what am I supposed to do now?”

  • Always here to help - UJFC is on standby as a whole to answer any and all questions you might have about the onboarding process. No question is too small or simple. Reach out to the rest of the club and we’ll help you sort whatever needs sorting. We’re not just managers and coaches, we are a team ourselves.

  • No cost to you - We understand that these sorts of qualifications can be an unwelcome expense in our monthly finances. We match your commitment to us with a commitment to supporting you. We reimburse the costs of all background checks, safeguarding courses, and coaching qualifications needed to get your team up and running. We always bring the same level of commitment to our volunteers as we do our players.

EQUIPPING OUR PLAYERS FOR SUCCESS

  • Training equipment taken care of - Again, much like qualifications, training equipment can be an unwanted financial burden when setting up your own team, and we aim to remove that. UJFC is committed to providing you with all the equipment you need to have your team practising fast. As always, we are committed to you as much as you are to your team.

  • Sorting the venues out - Our wonderful secretaries and welfare officer work quickly and efficiently to book your training venues and league placements for the season, using our partnered venues. No need to stress about the location, we have it all covered.

  • Making memories - We don’t just cover the costs of your qualifications and equipment. We also give each team a budget for things like trophies, medals, team parties, etc. We want our players to have fun, make memories and create friendships that will last a lifetime.

PREPARING YOU FOR SUCCESS

  • Expansive support network - As mentioned before, UJFC’s volunteers are a team unto themselves. Whether it’s group chats, meetings, setting up friendlies, and joining tournaments together, all of our volunteers are here at all times to give each other that critical leg up. We’re all here to make sure the kids, and ourselves, have the best experience possible.

  • Looking like a manager/coach - UJFC its coaching staff look the part. All of our managers and coaches are given an allowance every season for coaching kit from our kit supplier’s club store. Never worry about what you’re wearing to training or a match again, we’ll have you covered with our gear.

  • Eyes and ears for sponsors - While our teams in the league do need sponsors to cover the costs of player kits, we do have our ears to the ground for you at all times to help you match up with business partners in the area. No team ever goes without a sponsor, and we’ll always get one over the line. We’re committed to partnering our teams with local excellence

  • Best-in-age group training resources - Our website is now host to a Coaches’ Corner section where our volunteers have private access to all of our masterfully-crafted exercises, drills, documents, and resources for all age groups in an instant. We’ve virtually built a youth football university ourselves. It’s as easy as pulling them up on your phone at practice. We are building an entire football coaching program using session planning software used in Premier League Clubs. Never be in doubt for training drills at practice training ever again.
